Description
Aquadis Microcapsules are sold by bottle, and each bottle contains 100 capsules, enough for 100 tests.
The Aquadis Microcapsules is a field test used to detect the presence of water in aviation fuels.
This easy-to-use, reliable test meets aeronautical standards (IATA Guidance Manual or ATA 103). Water can contaminate fuel throughout the supply chain, impairing its quality and leading to the formation of ice which clogs fuel filters.
A color change occurs, with a pink tint appearing if the fuel sample contains 30 ppm of water or more.

This product is equivalent to the Shell Water Detector, but the instructions for use are different.
Instructions for use
- Take a 100-ml sample of fuel and place it in a resealable container
- Take an Aquadis Microdetector capsule, open it, and pour the contents (powder) into the container holding the 100 ml sample
- Close the container and shake it vigorously so that the fuel mixes thoroughly with the powder
- Let it rest for 2 minutes
- Interpreting the results: If a pink color appears, the sample contains 30 ppm of water or more.
- Refer to the IATA or ATA 103 Guidance Manual to find out what to do when these limits are reached.
