Cooling water treatment

Regardless of the configuration of the cooling water system:

  • open circuits
  • semi-open tours
  • closed systems

It is important to control the microbiology of the water to avoid contamination problems.

Micro-organism monitoring of cooling circuits is necessary in order to identify possible problems and use the most effective biocide. Precise identification of germs is not necessary, as a count of total germs: bacteria, fungi and yeasts using MICROTEST A is sufficient. For sulfate-reducing bacteria, a semi-quantitative analysis is performed with MICROTEST SR. For more precise results, our laboratory carries out PETRI BOTTLE ANALYSES.

Regular monitoring of cooling water with our MICROTEST A and MICROTEST SR field tests prevents circuit corrosion, deposits and biofilm development.

To prevent the proliferation of micro-organisms in cooling circuits, biocides such asORGANCIDE 14, ORGANCIDE DBNPA or ORGANCIDE QC 50, specially developed for water treatment, are used.
