Throughout the distribution chain for middle distillates: diesel, kerosene and FOD, checks are carried out with the MICROTEST P. When pollution is detected, a treatment with FUELCIDE D1.5 at a concentration of 3 liters FUELCIDE D1.5 per 10000 liters.

Storage of diesel fuel at service stations

Micro-organism contamination occurs in diesel tanks at filling stations, causing fuel filters to clog at the pump. After changing the fuel filter, a biocide treatment with FUELCIDE D1.5 is necessary for a concentration of 3 litres/10000 litres of diesel. Petrol is less subject to biocontamination.

Storage of FOD for heating

FOD storage tanks for home heating are not immune to contamination by micro-organisms over time. In fact, we offer the FUELCIDE D1.5 in kerdose of 1 liter specially designed to treat home heating systems.

The long-term preservation of the FOD of heating systems and stationary generators requires regular monitoring by microbiological and chemical analyses:

Storage of the Non-Road Diesel Fuel (NRF) used for:

  1. non-road mobile machinery
  2. mobile generators
  3. agricultural and forestry tractors
  4. pleasure craft and inland waterway vessels

You'll need to be more careful, as RNG doesn't keep as well over time as FOD. For longer storage periods, RNG O is preferred, as it contains no biofuel and is therefore more resistant to micro-organisms. We will only check the specifications of the RNG, which change over time:

    • Moisture content in accordance with NF EN 12937, which must be less than 200 mg/kg
    • Total contamination standard: NF EN 12662, which must be less than 24 mg/kg

Micro-organism control

All these fuels: diesel, FOD and RNG require regular monitoring of the number of micro-organisms in accordance with standard IP 385/19: Enumeration of living aerobic micro-organisms in middle distillates and associated water. Filtration and culture method.
