Description
Enumeration (quantification) based on NACE (National Association Of Corrosion Engineers International) TM0194 - "Field monitoring of bacterial growth in oil and gas systems".

Procedure:
1 - You send us a sample to be analyzed in an airtight container filled to the brim with approximately 0.5 to 1 liter. It's important to fill it to the brim to avoid oxygenation of the sample, as sulfate-reducing bacteria are anaerobic, i.e. they live in the absence of oxygen.
2- We proceed with analysis by plating with 9 dilutions in 3 rows according to NACE TM0194.
3 - We read the results up to 14 days after the incubation date and give a count. A report will be sent to the customer.
Remarks :
A - We can make more than 9 dilutions on request, if very high contamination is suspected.
B - We accept all types of samples, even heterogeneous ones (aqueous media, sludge, silage residues, etc.). If the medium is not liquid enough, it will be resuspended with sterile water.
C - If you'd like to carry out the count yourself in the field, we offer the Microtest SR, which enables you to carry out a count using a method other than NACE TM0194.
