Description
FOR 2 CANS OR MORE, PRICES ARE QUOTED ON REQUEST.
Biocide for treating the aqueous phase of fuel storage tanks, paints, glues, polymer emulsions, enamels, coatings, sealants and diluted cutting oils.
To treat feet of water, when the fuel itself is not contaminated. Can also be used to treat heavily contaminated fuels, when the treatment of the fuel itself is not sufficient.
- Broad spectrum of activity, including against sulfate-reducing bacteria.
- Non-corrosive, does not attack surfaces
Organcide OX is composed of approximately 18% Bronopol and 0.5% CIT/MIT.
PROPERTIES
As a biocide of the aqueous phase, ORGANCIDE OX has the following characteristics:
- Slightly acidic (pH at 1%:4.7)
- Non-corrosive
- Does not attack surfaces
- Acceptable effect on the environment when purging
- Can be neutralized with sodium bisulfite
- Can be used in cases of heavy contamination: as fuel treatment is not sufficient, tanks are emptied, cleaned and disinfected with a 20% aqueous solution of ORGANCIDE OX
DOSAGE
The concentration of biocide in the aqueous phase must be 500 ppm, i.e. 0.5 litres of ORGANCIDE OX per 1 m³ of water, in order to leave a certain safety margin. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to measure the quantity of water settled in the bottom of the tank.
Assuming that the ratio of settled water to fuel is generally around 1:1000, the concentration of ORGANCIDE OX relative to fuel should be:
- Preventive treatment
0.5 ppm (1 liter per 2,000 m³ of fuel)
- Curative treatment
5 ppm (1 liter per 200 m³ of fuel)
