Description

Field test for the detection of bacteria, yeasts and fungi in aqueous products and on surfaces.

A simple test kit for in situ sampling.
An easy-to-use test that requires no special knowledge or equipment.

COMPOSITION

Double-sided agar medium for total flora/for yeasts and molds containing a neutralizer capable of suppressing the action of quaternary ammoniums, phenolic derivatives, aldehydes, halogenated derivatives, hexachlorophene, formalin and ethanol.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

-Remove slide from tube
-Immerse in liquid or apply to surface
-Incubate slides in a mini incubator and read results.

The growth of bacteria can be read on the yellow side. Bacterial colonies form on the red side, which are between 0.5 and 5 mm in diameter. The reading is made in relation to the reference table below:

Bacteria growth

Yeast can be seen on the pink side. They are pale in colour (whitish to beige), round and rounded. The size is compared to the reference table below:

For mould, the reading is also on the pink side. These micro-organisms are fluffy, between green and white. Moulds grow rapidly, which makes it difficult to interpret their quantitative interpretation. Growth is compared to the reference table below:

If necessary, particularly in the case of liquid samples, we also offer a sterile empty tube compatible with the Microtest B, allowing the agar plate to be dipped into the liquid sample.
