Description
Kolor Kut hydrocarbon indicator paste is sold in packs of 6 or 12 tubes of 64 g each.
Kolor Kut hydrocarbon indicator paste is a field test for detecting the level of hydrocarbons in a tank.
It has a light pink color that turns bright red on contact with hydrocarbons (kerosene, gasoline, diesel, naphtha, crude oil and jet fuels) and various chemicals. It is a highly effective indicator for checking fuel tank levels.
To perform the test, a weighted rod or rope is coated with the paste and dipped to the bottom of the tank. The paste, initially light pink, turns bright red on contact with the hydrocarbon, indicating the level of hydrocarbon present at the bottom of the tank.
It is not recommended for use with alcohols, as these evaporate very quickly and the paste reverts to its original color.
This product has no official expiration date and should be stored between 0 and 45°C.
