Description
Rapid search for microorganisms.
Widely used in industry to detect microbial activity.
- Almost instantaneous reading of the results
- Allows to react very quickly
The ATP meter uses a bioluminescence reaction to measure the amount of light produced by a reaction between ATP and an enzyme, luciferase. The reaction is accompanied by a yellow-green light emission, proportional to the initial amount of ATP. Since ATP is present in every living cell, it can indicate contamination. However, it is not possible to identify whether it is a human cell or the type of microorganism.
